Cross triathlon off of your Bucket List!  Whether you are an experienced triathlete looking for a triathlon on a flat and fast course or new to the sport and want to see what all the fuss is about, the Bucket List Triathlon is for you.  Swim in the famed London Bridge Channel, in sight of the London Bridge.  Bike on flat and fast roads closed to traffic.  Run under and over the London Bridge to finish at London Bridge Beach Park on the shores of Lake Havasu.

NEW TSHIRT POLICY

Tshirts are NOT included with your entry!

Not everybody wants a Tshirt.  Why pay for a Tshirt if you don't want one?  When you enter the Bucket List Triathlon, you do not automatically get a Tshirt with your entry.  You must purchase the Tshirt separately. We are passing the savings on to you by only supplying shirts to those that want them and lowering entry fees!

Shirts must be ordered on or before May 1 to receive it at Packet Pick up.

We do order extra shirts and sometimes have enough for those who either failed to order one or entered after May 1.  Extra shirts will be available for sale at the finish line on race day.

Lake Havasu City is one of the country's premier tourist destinations.  Lake Havasu is 70 miles of clear, beautiful lake and offers many opportunities for recreation and relaxation.  Just a short drive from Southern California, Phoenix and Las Vegas, Lake Havasu City has everything from fine dining to In and Out Burger, basic motels to high end lodging and everything in between.  Join Tucson Racing, hosts of the original triathlon in Lake Havasu City, for a triathlon and vacation weekend you will not soon forget.

BUCKET LIST TRIATHLON - COURSE
Swim -
Calm, clear waters inside the Bridgewater Channel.  Your swim is in the channel so you are never more than 15 yards from shore.  Family and friends can walk along with you as you swim the channel.  Closed to boat traffic, this will be the safest and most fun open water swim ever.

The bike is on the road around the island.  Three laps for the Sprint, 1 lap for the Supersprint.  The bike course is flat and fast.  The bike course is closed to traffic, with a dedicated lane for the triathlon. 

The run course is very scenic, running along the Bridgewater Channel, under and over the London Bridge.  The Bucket List Triathlon is suitable for experienced triathletes and those new to the sport.

     Swim - Bridgewater Channel - out and back
     Bike - Flat and fast on the loop road on the Island - 3 Laps
     Run - Along the Bridgewater Channel, under and then over the London Bridge

SuperSprint
     Swim - Bridgewater Channel
     Bike - Flat and fast on the loop road on the Island - 1 lap
     Run -  To the London Bridge and back

TIMEKEEPING

The IPICO SportsTag system will be used to time the race.  Tags are to be attached to your left ankle via the supplied velcro strap.  Chips will be picked up on race morning.  The tags are to be returned at the finish line following the race.

Results will be posted on this website the day of the race.

There are three ways to enter.  You can enter by going to here and enter online with your credit card. Second, if you wish to enter by snail mail then download the entry blank and send it in (Note that mailed in entries will not be accepted after May 1, 2014).  Finally, you can register at registration with either a check or credit card. 

 

WHO MAY ENTER?

There are no entry qualifications for the Havasu Triathlon.  Simply enter and show up on race weekend.

We encourage new and beginning triathletes to enter the Bucket List Triathlon.  Why?

  • Swim in a protected channel just feet from the shoreline

  • Bike on flat roads without turns on

  • Bike course is closed to traffic

Want a fast and flat course that emphasizes speed, speed and more speed?  The Bucket List Triathlon is for you.

 

USA TRIATHLON

USA TRIATHLON (USAT) is the national governing body of the sport of triathlon.  They provide the insurance for the event.  We therefore have to abide by their registration procedures and competitive rules.

 

If you are annual member of USA Triathlon then you must bring your annual membership card and photo ID to registration.  We cannot make exceptions to this rule.  Please do not ask us to do so.

 

If you are not an annual member then USAT charges a $12 one day fee and requires you to sign a waiver.  This fee is paid as part of your registration process.  If you signed up via active.com then you will have signed the waiver online. If you mailed the entry in then you will need to sign a waiver at registration.

 

REGISTRATION/PACKET PICK-UP

Registration and packet pick up will be from 7:00pm to 8:00pm on  May 8.  London Bridge Beach.


Although we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to complete your registration and packet pick up on May 8, we will have registration and packet pick up on race morning beginning at 6:00am.  We will close promptly at 6:45am.  Please avoid lines and stress by completing registration on May 8!

 

HEADPHONE POLICY

Headphones or music listening devices are not allowed on any aspect of the course.  This is a USAT rule which we have no discretion on enforcing.  Please leave your mp3 players at home!

REFUND/TRANSFER  POLICY

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else.  Due to the extraordinary cost of putting on the half marathon, and per similar policies at all running races, this policy will apply to all entrants and is in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected family/business emergency, have a medical emergency, etc. There are no exceptions.
 

COURSE MODIFICATIONS

Tucson Racing reserves the right to postpone, cancel or change the race or race format at any time to ensure athlete safety. If Tucson Racing determines conditions that might compromise the safety of participants, Tucson Racing, in its sole judgment, may cancel, postpone, or change the race and/or race format. No Refunds or Transfers will be given.
