Toughman Half joins the Havasu Triathlon on March 18, 2017!  The new Toughman Half Arizona at Lake Havasu is not part of the Havasu Triathlon.  Come on down to Havasu and test those distant legs at one of the earliest half distance triathlons of the season.

The Havasu Triathlon is one of the oldest triathlons in Arizona, dating back to mid 1980s.   At the very dawn of triathlon, the local Fire Department hosted the London Bridge Triathlon that featured a swim under the London Bridge.  In 1999 the Pan American Games Triathlon Trials were held here.  Olympians and Collegiate Champions have raced in Havasu.  The Collegiate National Triathlon Championships were held in Lake Havasu in 2004 and 2005.   Since 2005 the Havasu Triathlon has been the major early season triathlon on the US calendar.  Now, with Toughman Arizona joining the Havasu Triathlon, one of the earliest half distance triathlons in the United States will be in Lake Havasu!

Why Lake Havasu?  Because there is no better place to start the triathlon season. Warm temperatures and sunny skies are practically guaranteed in Lake Havasu!  Typically early morning temperatures are in the 60s with temperatures climbing to the high 70s by the end of the race.  Water temperature is usually in the mid 60s, making for a wetsuit legal swim.

There is a reason that Havasu is one of the top Spring Break destinations - for both college students and families!  Water sports, hiking, restaurants, bars and much more can be found in Havasu.  Spring Break is a long standing tradition at Havasu and the whole town turns out for the party.

The Havasu Triathlon annually welcomes athletes from over 35 states, making it one of the premier early season races in the USA. Toughman Half Arizona at Lake Havasu invites you to escape the never ending cold and gloom of winter and enjoy Spring Break in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Lake Havasu City is only a 2.5 hour drive from Phoenix, 2 hours from Las Vegas and just slightly longer from Southern California.

We keep our entries as low as we possibly can so we do not offer discounts off the entry fee.  However, we will offer a free entry for every 10 entries from a team for the Toughman Half Arizona and Havasu races.  Because our collegiate race is already discounted so heavily, the team discount is not eligible to collegiate athletes.  Got 20 teammembers participating?  Then your team gets a second free entry!

To take advantage of the team discount, make sure the athletes entering from your team record their team affiliation where requested when registering online.
